Sensor and Instrument Technology

These are the devices that measure or observe features of their environment and transform the information into digital data.

Many sensor technologies are available worldwide but there are some important parameters for which there are still no fully satisfactory sensors (e.g., pH, various dissolved gases, chemical species and biological components in seawater).  ONCCEE is interested in learning about new sensor technologies and may be able to help in providing demonstration new technologies with the Technology Demonstration Facility.

ONCCEE is seeking new sensor technologies from academia and research institutes that are ready for technology transfer to industry.  ONCCEE can help in finding industry partners.
