How to Talk About Science Conference

UVic is hosting a “How to talk about science” conference on scientific communication from May 25-27, 2012.

We have three tracks for communication with the general public, the media, and for school age K-12. Each track has a keynote, a panel and a breakout group.

The confirmed keynote speakers are:
Media—Bob McDonald, Host of CBC Radio’s Quirks & Quarks
K-12—Dr. Bonnie Schmidt, President, “Let’s Talk Science”
General Public—E. Paul Zehr, Author “Becoming Batman” & “Inventing Iron Man”

Early Bird rates are $75 for trainees (PDF, graduate and undergraduates) and $150 for regular attendees.
