International Submarine Engineering (Associate Member)
ISE was formed in 1974 to build remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) for the commercial, scientific and defence communities. Since then, we have delivered more than 230 underwater vehicles to clients in 20 countries around the world. Our products include electro-hydraulic work-class ROVs, autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), manned submersibles, autonomous semisubmersibles, actively controlled towfish, robotic manipulators and control systems. ISE retains a permanent design and engineering capability, combined with an experienced in-house software team that enables us to offer a customized design service for all of our vehicles. We have also provided custom robotic applications for subsea, terrestrial and space applications.
The current range of ISE AUVs, the Explorer class, has been widely accepted by the scientific community across North America and Europe. It is a cruising AUV that can be launched from small ships, large survey vessels or shore-based docks. Explorer is a modular vehicle that operates in depths down to 6000 metres and achieves survey ranges of up to 450 kilometres. It is capable of carrying a myriad of payload sensors including sidescan sonar, multibeam echosounder and sub-bottom profiler at the same time. Explorer can also be fitted with a full range of oceanographic sensors to suit almost any application.
