Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre

Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre (BMSC), a world-class education and research facility is an initiative of five western universities; UVic, UBC, SFU, U of A and U of C. Situated in the quaint community of Bamfield on the west coast of Vancouver Island, BMSC hosts undergraduate fall and summer courses, seminars, research facilities, and immersive marine science opportunities for students through the public education program (middle/high-school students/teachers). ONCCEE has recently collaborated with BMSC’s public education program to co-facilitate a teachers’ workshop; inspiring formal teachers to discuss the marine ecosystem and its processes in the classroom!
