OCEAN Industries BC works for people who support a clean, safe and secure, ocean and marinespace economy in British Columbia and Western CANADA.

OIBC's Board of Directors runs as a Results Governance Board, as opposed to an “Operating” Board of Directors. The purpose of the board, on behalf of the people who value the establishment and growth of ocean and marinespace economy in British Columbia, is to see to it that OCEAN Industries BC:

(a) achieves appropriate results for appropriate persons at an appropriate cost, and

(b) avoids unacceptable actions and situations.
